Giving back to Jamaica to Coopers Hill Primary School

We need your help to reach our goals!

By visiting anytime and donating under the name “COOPERS HILL” 100% of all monies donated will go directly to helping the school (donations can be made for as little as $1 and tax receipts are given)

Destination Wedding Planners Monica Caesar of Aisle Plan Your Day and Jennifer Borgh of Jennifer Borgh Events and TravelOnly and are giving back to Jamaica by adopting Coopers Hill primary school in celebration of Jamaica’s 50th year of independence.

With the help of Sandals Foundation, they plan on raising enough money for school supplies, a fresh coat of paint and a permanent solution to give them running water. To date, we have been able to send out a few barrels of school supplies, paint the school and make improvements. At this point, we are still actively collecting supplies and donations to be able to continue to support our efforts with Coopers Hill Primary School.

While at the Sandals Star Awards, a celebration for Sandals top selling agents, both Monica and Jennifer met children who were on a Sandals Foundation day pass at Beaches Boscobel Resort. While Jennifer interacted with the children, Monica met the principal (and teacher) of Coopers Hill Primary School, Anthony Ross. After meeting the children and hearing about the little school in the hills of Jamaica, the pair decided to give back to the country that has given them so much. A few months later, while in Jamaica, Jennifer went to visit the children of Coppers Hill. Way up in the hills, and accessible only by an unfinished road was a very small school that is responsible for educating over fifty children aged 4 – 12. With one of the most beautiful views of Jamaica, but with no running water these children are both extremely fortunate and unfortunate at the same time.

Although Monica and Jennifer both have their own businesses and live on opposite sides of the country, they often work together on Destination weddings. “We both have a passion for Jamaica and are both extremely grateful for the success that Jamaica has brought us so we decided to give back” says Monica Caesar. Monica and I are both extremely spoiled when it comes to travel and have enjoyed the luxuries of Sandals and Beaches 5 star resorts throughout the Caribbean and are aware that some people don’t even have basic necessities” says Jennifer Borgh. Both Destination Wedding Planners specialize in Jamaica and together book hundreds of wedding guests and honeymoon couples to the island every year.
